Free Agency — Lions Sign WR Greg Dortch
The Detroit Lions have added 27-year-old veteran Greg Dortch to the roster, as the former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver has inked a one-year deal to play in Motown in 2026.
Wide receiver Greg Dortch said the opportunity to work with OC Drew Petzing again was a big reason why he signed with the Detroit Lions in free agency.
Roster — LB Damone Clark Joins Defense
The Detroit Lions are adding depth to their linebacker room, signing Damone Clark on Wednesday to a deal with terms that have not yet been disclosed.
The move adds depth to a room dealing with the departure of linebacker and defensive captain Alex Anzalone.
Roster — Key Free Agency Departures Continue
Their biggest losses came on the defensive side, with linebacker Alex Anzalone (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad (Buccaneers) and cornerback Amik Robertson (Washington Commanders), among others, all out the door.
After five seasons in Detroit, Raymond has left to the Windy City on a one-year, $5.1 million deal. He joins former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who led the Chicago Bears to an NFC North title in his first season as head coach.
Draft — Offensive Linemen Remain Primary Target
The 2026 NFL free agency period is just over 10 days old, and the decisions made across the NFL have significantly altered the majority of mock draft projections. For the Detroit Lions, we have seen the field of prospects narrowing, and there's also been a heavy shift toward one position.
Quick Hits
The Lions agreed to terms with 26-year-old Cade Mays from the Carolina Panthers on a three-year deal worth up to $25 million.
Wonnum joins the Lions on one-year deal worth up to $6 million.
Taylor Decker, 32, is set to return in 2026, but the Detroit Lions still need to think about the long-term plan for their offensive line. Decker missed three games last season dealing with a shoulder injury and hasn't played a full 17-game slate since the 2022 season. Detroit also lost last year's swing tackle, Dan Skipper, to retirement.
Next Game
The NFL Schedule will be released in May.
